I have been going to David Chen for many years. Followed him from days in his White Plains restaurant. I don’t go anywhere else for Chinese food. I’ve had many birthday and other celebrations over the years there with friends and it was always a great time. The food is always delicious, but most of all David is very friendly makes you feel like family. Always appreciates your business and he built that business and following up to the great restaurant it is and still continues after all these years. Really a great place and staff is very good too. Love it!
Update:
Well, seems a different chef from years ago when i didn't enjoy the food. As an Asian descent, I know good Asian food. I am really so hungry and have no time to go to my go to Chinese place so I ventured back to David Chen to give it a try. I am glad I did. Their beef chow mei fun is spot on. And for Armonk, price is reasonable. Humongous serving size too plus soup included. Important to mention , it's not swimming in oil . Highly recommended.

5 star for overall experience. I ordered my favorite chicken pan fried noodle and though taste isn't exactly I was used to , I enjoyed it a lot. Also, the size was humongous. Price was very reasonable. I was served tea with the biggest tea pitcher and ambiance was nice... like the traditional Chinese restaurant with big chandelier. Both owner and staff were very nice. Highly recommended.
Been coming here for about 20 + years. Have not been disappointed. Good food and service. The Hunan Beef/Chicken is one of my favorites. I get the Wonton Soup all the time whether eating in or taking out. It is very unique tasting compared to most wonton soups I have had and those egg rolls are very good. Definitely recommend both those items. Awaiting my next visit!
David Chen’s is a staple for American-Chinese food. Always fast and friendly service — free tea and fried chips. Extremely large menu selection with reasonable prices. Great lunch special too.
My husband n I went to this restaurant several times in the past.. then we decided to go back.. this time we were soooo disappointed. We asked for Peking duckling $50 it was TERRIBLE! COLD, NO TASTE, PLS NEVER ASK FOR IT IN THIS RESTAURANT! The place was cold too. I had to stay with my winter jacket all the time..
Simple: we will Never go back .
It's a nice restaurant with a huge selection on the menu. The food was tasty. The service was friendly and timely despite being busy. The restauarant was clean. You could hear your conversation at your table despite the restaurant being full.
Last night’s takeout… The Orange Chicken was absolutely horrible! …super tiny pieces of chicken, drenched in terrible tasting frying oil! …with no hint of orange! Also, the 6 egg rolls were very oily (inside & mostly outside) and tasted of the same, very bad frying oil! The pork ribs were dry (not juicy at all!)! I will never return. I only went there because Seven Woks in Scarsdale is closed on Mondays and I had unexpected guests to feed.
Ambience was nice; please give the fish a plant. Our server was quiet, courteous, prompt. Food was prepared well, tasted fresh, and quite tasty.
